Night Vision flavor
Hey everybody, I’ve been seriously awol, but you should be used to it by now.
More regular updates will occur as I am going to be in Australia for the next three weeks. So stay tuned for pictures and more from there.
Someone who has NOT been awol is Nathan. Still plugging away in Iraq, he is making us very proud. Typical of his dispatches from there is the following email we received this morning accompanied by a fascinating picture.
Greetings Folks,
I am still managing to get by here in Iraq, day by day, night by night. We were out the other evening/ morning I do not remember exactly when this picture was taken. However, it was very late, very early, or some time in between. I thought that you might like to see exactly what it is like to look though night vision goggles. This is what it looks like and as I know you are all wondering, “does everything taste like lime when you wear night vision”? Well, it is true, a delightful Lime Flavoring Adapter (LFA) is also mounted to the base of the goggles. It diffuses lime flavoring so when the goggles are worn everything looks and tastes like lime and the probably the best part about this is, no more scurvy. I must say this is one thing the Army did not screw up on. However, it also makes me think; being that these were made by the lowest bidder, what were the flavors offered by the other night vision producers? HHHMMM? Oh well, I hope you are doing well and hope to see you all again soon.
Pray for Peace,
Nathan GREEN
My money is on “strawberry cheesecake” flavor. I’m sure they found that too distracting and resulted in too much drooling.
Let’s all keep him in our prayers and we can’t wait to see him in a few short months.

Nathan, what a cool picture!! I saved it on my desktop.
I love you!
