In Flight to New Zealand

Greetings from New Zealand! I bet you thought we would never get to New Zealand with all the unknowns and unclear answers that you have gotten from us in the past month or six. Well, WE ARE HERE!!! We finally made it. This will be the beginning of our NZ adventure, and I wish to start telling you about the plane ride here, and take you up to the present moment. Well, the plane rides here are over. Thank goodness. This is us in flight from Minneapolis/St. Paul to the LA Airport(LAX).

From LA, we boarded the Air New Zealand flight to Auckland, where we had three seats in business class. We were excited for our flight and hoped all would go well with Quinn. Unfortunately, Wayne and I made it through the first course (the salad) in our gourmet meal before Quinn proceeded to get sick all over himself and me. From then on, there was no sleep for any of us for the duration of the flight, about 11 hours. Ouch!! Needless to say, we only have one picture of that memorable flight, and here it is.

Once we got to Auckland we were able to freshen up a bit in the lounge for business class travelers. It was there that Quinn finally settled down and fell asleep. He slept through the entire flight from Auckland to Wellington,

and was in great spirits once we got to our new home, a three bedroom apartment at the Kate Sheppard Apartments in downtown Wellington. The walls are mostly windows and we have a lovely view of the harbor and downtown.
