First Weekend in Wellington

When we got to the apartment, we quickly unpacked our luggage and settled in. Wayne went to the grocery store for milk, while Quinn and I explored the new apartment.

It was nice that we arrived on a Friday, because we had the weekend to recover, and run errands. Luckily the weather was nice(50 to 55 degrees), little wind and partly cloudy. We also had a chance to meet up a few times with our friends Pip, Brent & baby Tallulah.

So far this week, we have not been so lucky with the weather. I thought the wind blew hard in Southwestern Minnesota, but this is crazy. I think the Wellington wind has won the wind blowing contest. Quinn and I spent all day Wednesday inside and watched the business people trip over their own legs and sway sideways as they walked to and from work in the nasty wind and pelting rain. One woman had an umbrella, and I literally saw the wind eat it!! Wow, what a day! I guess that is normal for Wellington winters here!

We hope everyone had a great 4th of July back in the States. And, HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY AVERY!!!

We miss everyone and are keeping you all in our prayers!
