Nearly finished at ACC

Wednesday is my last day at ACC here in Wellington and I’ll join Gretchen, Quinn, Dale and Marge on the South Island for another week or so of holiday. The whole Boerger clan is having a great time and I’m sure they’ll return to the US with plenty of stories and pictures to impress! I’m guessing we’ve set a new benchmark for the number of “Boergers” in New Zealand. 5 at the same time! It’ll never be topped!

As for work, I’m pretty excited to move on, though it’s not clear next what is in store for us. Maybe someplace sunnier! If you hadn’t heard, Oracle has purchased Stellent and the transaction is closing by the end of the day today. So I’ll soon be an Oracle employee. Overall, it should be pretty good and I’m confident there will be good opportunities in the near future.

For those of you who have left recent comments, I apologize for them not showing up right away. This new system has a setting where the comments are moderated. That means one of us has to approve the comment before it appears on the site and I just realized this today. It is primarily to prevent spam comments, but I’ll see if I can turn off the moderation as I don’t think we’ll have that problem. But if you all start yelling at each other, we’ll have to go back to the old way, so behave!

We’ll check in after our holiday and I’m sure we’ll have lots of pictures and stories to tell. Pray for safe travels and look for updates after the 21st. Cheers!
