Quinn’s 4th Birthday, January 2, 2009. We first celebrated with Grandma Ardy and Grandpa Roger. Grandma made a cake and brought it up just for you, Quinn. A few days later we had your HUGE party. You had a Hot Wheel’s ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. What a fun day we all had!

Here are a few photos from Christmas 2008. Brooke was too little to have a Christmas list. Quinn, on the other hand, wanted Santa to bring him a Polar Express Train. Santa pulled through. He commissioned the elves to build Quinn a Polar Express train. He was SO excited to get that present on Christmas morning.

What is that stink? Halloween 2008

Quinn decided to be a skunk this year, so I ordered him a skunk costume online. When the costume arrived. He refused to put it on until it was officially “Halloween.” So, here are a few photos of him with his costume on. Brooke was Eeyore, same as Quinn was when he was her age. When I compare photos of what they looked like with the Eeyore costume on, it is hard to tell them apart.

Laura Luckow made this cute little Pumpkin hat for Brooke along with a bunch of other hats for her. Doesn’t she look so cute? She’s my little pumpkin head.

Twin Cities Half Marathon 2008

In October 2008, I ran the Twin Cities Half Marathon. The kids enjoyed doing the kid and family events the day before. Quinn, Avery Laursen and Taite Wilson all ran the 1 miler and got medals. I am so proud of them. The day of the marathon was cold and rainy. Brrr!

Jellystone Water Park in Warrens, WI – August 2008

Last year we went to a water park with a bunch of other couples and their families. We left Brooke at home with Grandma and Grandpa and just brought Quinn. He had a marvelous time. He still wasn’t into going underwater, but that didn’t matter. He was all over the kiddie water slides and couldn’t wait to go back to a water park the following year. Since then, Jellystone has closed, so in 2009 we ended up going to Wisconsin Dells with both kids. What a great family get-a-way!

Children’s Museum Summer 2008

Last year we had a membership at the Children’s Museum. We were hoping to use it a lot more than we did, since the kids always had a lot of fun there. Here are a few photos of one weekend when Heidi, Marius and the kids went with us to the museum.
